Fun time in PA and what is coming next

This weekend we went to PA to visit Steven's family. We stayed with Nicoli and Timothy for the first time instead of with his parents. We had a great time! We made it to their place at 3:00 AM on Friday morning. When we woke up the next day I couldn't wait to see the girls. Nora was excited to see Uncle Steven and Rachel Lynn. She is a catbird!! (Let me know if you need clarification on this term. You probably will if you are a Yankee). Elise is so big now. She is crawling everywhere and almost walking. She just smiled at us when she saw us. She is so cute and smiley. She also giggles all the time and is super ticklish. Both girls get more beautiful every time we see them.
Nicoli and I did a little shopping on Friday and they grilled out for us that evening. Saturday we went over to Steven's parents house. They are redecorating a lot of the rooms in their house and it is turning out well. We were glad to see them and Steven's sisters. Rachel will be graduating in June. We are going back up there then. Saturday night we played "Imagine If" with Nicoli and Timothy. It was a lot of fun. Then Nicoli and I stayed up until 3:30 talking. We get along really well and I feel closer to her each time we go up there. Sunday we went to their church for a wonderful service. I loved the praise and worship music! It really lifted my spirits. We said a sad goodbye to Timothy, Nicoli, and the girls after church and went to have lunch at Dan and Donna's house. We had lunch and visited there until 3 and then started making our way home. We made it home at 10:00 Sunday night. It was such a good time and I miss everyone already. I am going to put up some pics of our weekend on here later in the week.
Next Monday the 12th I am going to have surgery for my endometriosis. I have been having more pain for the past few months. Last month I was on my period for 12 days and the pain was horrible. So after talking to my doctor I have decided to have the surgery again. Also, having the surgery will also help us get pregnant easier when the time comes. It will be a laporoscopy like I have had in the past. They will make a small incision in my belly button and through that incision they will look for endometriosis and laser out what they find. It is outpatient. I have to be there on Monday at 1:00 and my surgery is scheduled for 3:00. Steven is taking me and Mom is meeting us there. After the surgery I will stay a couple of days with Mom because I can't be left by myself for something like 24 hours after surgery. I am not really that worried about it, since I have had the surgery before. I just know it is going to suck for a couple of weeks. So make sure to say a little prayer for me on Monday. I am sure Steven will post on Facebook how I am doing on Monday evening.
So that is it for now. I am going to be busy this week trying to get ahead in my classes. I will post again later this week.

  1. I'll definitely be praying! Please keep me updated! I'm not sure if you have your phones back on, but if you do give me a call sometime! I'm glad you had a good time in PA! :)

  2. We LOVED having you here!! I hope that when we have our own place, we'll have a guest bedroom and you will always have the option to stay!!

Yesterday, Nora said "I Miss Steven and Rachel Lynn" (and then proceeded to put out that bottom lip that kept getting her into trouble all weekend!)

I loved the opportunity to talk all night and to invest in each other!! I look forward to more times like that!
