I haven't blogged in a while, so I have a lot to cover in this blog. Right now I am 28 weeks pregnant. So 12 weeks to go. I am in my third and last trimester!
A little over a month, Memorial Day weekend, we went up to PA to visit Steven's family. They had a baby shower for us while we were there. Steven's sisters and sister-in-law put it together for us. All of his immediate family was there; his mom, dad, three sisters, brother, sister-in-law, and nieces. Also his grandma, aunt, uncle, and cousin on his mom side came to. They came from Maryland and we were glad to see them. The girls decorated the everything so cute. I put pics of the shower on facebook a few weeks ago. We got so much stuff that we needed and we appreciated it so much. We got some very cute clothes from grandma and cousin Mary. We got our snugglebunny bouncer that we wanted from Aunt Betty and Uncle Doug. We got a basket of baby necessities like wipes, nail clippers, orajel, rattle, sippy cup, etc... from cousin JD and his wife Nicole. They couldn't make it because their son got sick at the last minute and we did miss them. Timothy and Nicoli got us the high chair that we wanted. Mom and Dad got us our pack and play. Theresa got me a cricut cut-die scrap booking machine, which I have been wanting. Rachel and Abigail got me a baby scrapbook and all kinds of baby scrap booking supplies, stickers, etc... So, I need to get going on my scrap booking it looks like! We were so excited about all of the gifts and so thankful for it all. It was a great time and we had another great weekend in PA.
June 11th David and Crystal got married. Steven was the best man at his wedding. It was a beautiful wedding. David was so happy. So now we have our trailer to ourselves, at least until October. Here are a few pics from the wedding.
The next weekend we had another wedding to go to. My cousin Anthony got married to his girlfriend Aieshia. They had been dating for a few years now and really she has already been part of the family, we just had to make it official. Here are a few pics from that wedding. I will put the rest of them, along with the rest of the pics from David’s wedding, on my facebook.
On June 20th I had a regular check-up appointment with my OBGYN. I had been having some pain in my stomach. Sometimes it was low in my stomach and cramping and sometimes it was on my right upper side. So I told my doctor about it just to be safe. So, they did an ultrasound to measure my cervix. If my cervix was measured small I could have been in pre-term labor. They did the ultrasound and everything was fine. My cervix measured normal and the baby was fine. I was happy to get to see her, but the bad thing was Steven missed it. We didn’t think that they were going to do an ultrasound and he had a lot to do at work, so he didn’t come along. He was upset that he missed seeing her. At this ultrasound Hannah was 1 pound and 11 ounces. Here are the pics from it.
One the first pic she is looking straight out. On the bottom pics it is hard to tell, but her toes are on her forehead. She is always moving those legs!
I have a small part time job now that I started in mid June. Liana, who has autism, is the girl that I take out places a couple times a month. I have been working with her for about 8 years now and I am still taking her out about twice a month or so. Well, I went to church at Heritage with her and much of her family including her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cole. Mr. Cole has had alztiemers (sp?) for a couple years now and Mrs. Cole took care of him. Well in June Mrs. Cole had a stroke and she now has dementia. She cannot take care of herself anymore, much less her husband. So now they need someone to stay with them 24/7. So for about a month now I have been staying with them about once a week for a 24 hour period, usually on Fridays. It is pretty easy. I don’t have to do any lifting or bathing. They both can get around pretty well. I just make their meals and help them do their daily grooming things. It has really helped us out lately for me making that little bit of extra money every week. We are hoping that we can start setting most of the money I make aside for when Hannah comes.
Here is the most recent pregnancy pics that we have took of me. They are when I was 26 weeks, so that was 2 weeks ago. I will take some new ones soon because I have gotten bigger since then! ![]()
For the past three weeks I have still been having the stomach pain that I had been having in June. The pain has been mostly in my upper right side, though. It sometimes goes down my side or into my lower right back. It was becoming worse and more consistent, so last Thursday I called the doctor. I talked to the nurse and she made an appointment for me to come in the next day. So on Friday the 8th I went in to see the doctor. Steven went with me. They did another ultrasound to check my cervix again. It measured the same which was just fine and Hannah was doing fine as well. She was 2 pounds and 9 ounces this time around. So, the doctor checked my urine and he said that there was a bladder infection. So he put me on an antibiotic to take care of it. To be honest, I really have not felt any better since I have been on the medicine. I am still having the pain. Mom seems to think that it may be all of the scar tissue that is in there from my past surgeries getting moved all around. I asked the doctor about that and he said that could be it. I see the doctor again on Monday the 18th so I will just tell the doctor I am not feeling much better. I am sure he will check my urine again. I am also having some routine blood work on that day. As long as Hannah is ok, which she has been, then I am not to worried about the pain. Probably just something I am going to have to deal with.
So now I am in my third trimester and almost in my 29th week. I have been feeling Hannah a whole lot recently. I feel her move or kick about every two hours or so. Steven has got to feel her a lot now too. He loves putting his hand on my stomach and just waiting for her to move. He usually doesn’t have to wait that long anymore. I love sitting with him on the couch or laying in bed with his hand on my belly feeling Hannah move around. Such a dream come true!
For those of you who are wondering, my baby shower is going to be on August 20th. So everyone save the date! Andrea should be sending out the invites in a few days. I am really looking forward to it.
I will try and blog again sooner than I did this time. We have pics of the last ultrasound I had at 28 weeks, but Steven needs to scan them at work so we can put them on our computer. So I will try to blog again shortly after Monday to let everyone know how my appointment goes and we will put the newest ultrasound pics up.
