So I am now 30 weeks pregnant. That means ten more weeks to go or 68 days. Even though a lot of people say that doesn’t sound very much longer, it still does to me. I just want to be at the end so I can meet my sweet Hannah Lea. It feels like I have been pregnant for so long. It has been a long time, it has actually been 213 days. That is a long time to wait for something you have waited most of your life for anyway! I keep on reminding myself to be thankful she is not here, though, because my niece was born early and only weighed about 3 pounds when she was born. We don’t want that, so I guess I better keep waiting.
One reason I am probably having so much trouble being patient right now is because I have been home almost every day doing pretty much nothing. In my last blog I mentioned how I was staying with the older couple at least once a week. Well, I am not doing that anymore. They got someone who was more permanent to take my place since I not going to be able to do it at all in the fall. Also, I think they were getting a little nervous about how pregnant I am getting and what would happen if one of them would fall or something like that would happen. So, they said they would use me as a backup, which I told them I was fine with and that I completely understood. I do wish I still had the job a couple more weeks, though, for the money and for something to do but I do understand their decision. So I am going to try to work on some projects that I have been putting off for a while, like scrapbooking and getting all my pics organized on the computer. It still gets pretty boring and lonely around here somedays, though.
My last doctors appointment was last Monday, the 18th. I saw the doctor and had my blood taken. I have not been having the bad pain in my side and stomach like I had been, so I must have had a bladder infection and the meds cleared it up. We got to hear Hannah’s heartbeat and it sounded nice and strong. The nurse called a couple days after my app about my blood work and said that I am anemic. So I am now taking an iron supplement every day along with my regular prenatal vitamin. I was a little worried about it at first because I wondered if Hannah has been getting enough iron. So I talked to Mom about it and she said that Hannah has been taking my iron and that is why I am low on it. She said Hannah has been getting plenty for herself and it is not uncommon for pregnant women to become anemic. So that made me feel a lot better. She assured me that if I keep taking the iron pill that it will be up by the time Hannah is ready to make her appearance. I have been very tired for the month or more and that is probably why. The nurse said they would recheck my blood before my due date to make sure my iron was up. Since I am in my last trimester I am seeing the doctor every other week now. My next app is Friday, August 5th.
On June 16th Jessica (Boone) Burnette had her reception here in WV. It was so good to finally see her and Z (her hubby). She seems so very happy and I am so thankful for God sending her such a great match. I also got to see some of my friends from high school, which was so great. Here are some pics of it and I will put more on facebook.
Also, here is the latest pic taken of me. We took this just a couple days ago for my 30 week pic.
I have been wondering if many people are reading my blogs or not. No one comments or anything so I have no way of knowing if people are reading these or not. The past couple I have done no one has marked that they read it or commented on it. So, if you don’t mind, if you read this just mark good, ok, or whatever just so I can know that people are actually reading this. Thanks! I hope many of my family and friends are reading this and enjoying the little updates on our family in the making.
Love you all!
